Egemen Egemenoğlu is the Managing Partner of Egemenoğlu and leads the firm’s International Arbitration Practice. He is widely recognized for his deep expertise in the resolution of complex international disputes, particularly those arising from construction and infrastructure projects, energy distribution agreements, joint ventures, acquisitions, and concession arrangements. With extensive experience representing both private companies and sovereign entities before international and domestic arbitration panels—including ICSID, ICC, AAA, ISTAC, GARR panels, and ad hoc tribunals under the UNCITRAL Rules—Egemen Egemenoğlu has built a distinguished track record in high-stakes commercial and investment arbitration. He also regularly serves as an arbitrator at the Istanbul Arbitration Centre (ISTAC) and is an active speaker in international arbitration forums, including panels organized by the Global Arbitration Review (GARR). Following the completion of his LL.M. degree, Egemen spent six years in the United States, including four years at leading law firms in Washington, D.C., among them a top-ranked construction law firm, where he advised on cross-border transactions and disputes across a range of industries including energy, finance, infrastructure, retail, electronics, and pharmaceuticals. His representative experience includes acting for a consortium of over twelve Turkish construction companies in Bilateral Investment Treaty claims exceeding 0 million against a Central Asian government, and advising a Turkish contractor in a delay and disruption dispute with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Afghanistan, successfully resolved through mediation. Recognized as a thought leader in international dispute resolution, he has taught the fundamentals of international commercial and investment arbitration at the International Law Institute in Washington, D.C., and frequently shares his insights on cross-border dispute resolution and international law at conferences and academic forums.
